Who must register for VAT?

When is personal tax due?
Your personal tax is due by midnight on 31st January the year after your tax year ends. For example, for the tax year ending 5th April 2023, your tax will be due before 31st January 2024.
How long do I have to keep personal tax records?
You are required to keep tax records for at least five years after the 31st January due date of the relevant tax year. HMRC may need access to check your records to ensure you are paying the correct personal tax amounts.
